• Probrand announces line-up for Cyber Security Expo

Technology services provider Probrand is hosting a free cyber security event for IT and business leaders – to help them identify, protect and mitigate cyber security risks. The virtual expo will take place on November 17, and will bring together expert speakers to share knowledge, insights and best practice.

The keynote will be delivered by Leon Phillips, Senior Manager Global Cyber at Dyson. Responsible for shaping the company’s security strategy and driving security engagement across the business, Phillips will explore how businesses can put the ‘human’ into security approaches for digital transformation.

Sessions running throughout the day will cover a variety of topics, for businesses of all sizes – from mitigating risk in cloud computing to the security lessons learnt during the pandemic and the threats businesses should be aware of in 2022.

Speakers include:

  • Prashant Pillai – Professor of Cyber Security, University of Wolverhampton
  • Rois Ni Thuama PhD – Head of Cyber Governance, Red Sift
  • Neil Limbrick – Founder, theEducationCollective
  • Holly Grace Williams – Managing Director, Secarma
  • Tim Brown - VP Security and CISO, SolarWinds

‘‘The move to remote and hybrid working has created a host of new security risks,’’ says Mark Lomas, technical architect at Probrand. ‘‘A 2021 Probrand survey also revealed that nearly half of UK businesses can’t say if their data is safe and secure. This event is an opportunity to broaden knowledge and share experiences that can help IT and business leaders tackle security challenges in this new landscape.

Vendor partners specialising in security will also be exhibiting, giving attendees the opportunity to find out more about the products and services available to support them.
