Technology services provider, Probrand, has signed a deal with Mott MacDonald, which will enable the global engineering, management and development consultancy to purchase IT hardware, consumables and peripherals through Probrand’s online marketplace. The move is expected to offer potential savings on everyday IT equipment, while further reducing the consultancy’s carbon footprint.
Probrand’s marketplace connects buyers and suppliers to enable hassle-free procurement of IT products, services and solutions. The Marketplace brings together more than 300,000 IT products, services and solutions, 2,500 brands and over 40,000 users in a ‘live’, transparent environment – with technical experts on hand to support buying decisions when needed. Additionally, the marketplace can integrate with customer’s systems, add process automation, catalogues and more.
Michelle McMenemy, Procurement Consultant at Mott MacDonald, said: “With Probrand’s online marketplace providing price assurance via an ‘open book’ approach, combined with a contracted relationship delivering a ‘cost plus margin’ purchasing agreement, we no longer need to conduct time-consuming due diligence to achieve best value on every purchase.”
“Probrand will also consolidate our orders and invoices, which will reduce the number and cost of deliveries and invoices we receive, which means less paperwork.”
Michelle added: “We look forward to working with Probrand and to potentially introducing further innovations such as interfacing our ordering and asset management tool into the marketplace to further increase back office efficiency.”
Ian Callens, Sales Director at Probrand, said: “Forward thinking organisations like Mott MacDonald are looking to quickly centralise and control procurement using proven digital approaches that are customisable. This is especially the case when it comes to the largest, most volatile and challenging category of spend that is IT.
“Our specialists are working with a like-minded procurement team at Mott MacDonald to improve efficiency of buying IT using our unique digital marketplace, and then customise it to deliver even deeper procurement governance benefits. Giving many buyers within an organisation delegated purchasing ability, providing price, choice and availability.”
