• Audio is the key to a perfect video conference

This may at first sound like a bit of an antithesis, but improving the audio quality in your conference or huddle rooms is the key to users having an ideal video conferencing experience.

With any video conferencing system, it’s not the resolution of your display or the quality of your camera that makes the biggest difference to the user experience but the quality of the audio between the end points.  If the users are having difficulties hearing the conversation it can subconsciously add a level of stress because the brain is required to perform the additional task of working out what the person at the other end is actually saying as well as what the conversation means. Reducing stress by improving the audio performance of a video conferencing system is often overlooked but is also the simplest and most cost effective route to stress-free, more productive video conferencing.

Revolabs FLX UC products use superior design to ensure that you can “Hear Every Word”

The range of Revolabs FLX UC conference phones features a two-way speaker system ─ consisting of a separate mid-woofer and tweeter combination normally found in domestic hi-fi systems. This enables a very natural reproduction of the whole vocal spectrum used in the conferencing scenario.

In addition to ensuring Revolabs FLX UC products have the ideal speaker configuration for conferencing audio they also feature an independent power supply allowing incorporation of a more powerful amplifier than devices which take their power feed from the USB connection. This is important as it helps the FLX UC conference phones reduce distortion during a conference ─ distortion of audio is another factor in listener fatigue and stress.

Ensuring you can “Be Heard from the Very First Word”

There are at least 4 directional microphones, ideally situated for single or group conversation in FLX UC systems. All of these microphones are backed up with individual echo cancellation so the people on the other end of the call hear you and not an echo of themselves or your air conditioning system. In fact, the processing power built into the Revolabs UC range allows this echo cancellation to function up to16Khz, achieving a very natural, “easy to be understood” audio for the people on the other end of the call. Combine this with the best possible signal to noise ratio, eliminating buzzing, clicks or any other extraneous electrical noise, and Revolabs conference phones ensure you are understood around the world.
