Birmingham based technology services provider, Probrand, is continuing its upward march against a stagnant IT sector with record breaking first quarter sales up 109% year-on-year to nearly £9M. Profits rose by over 30% for the same period.
Probrand is citing the launch of its public sector specific theitindex/gov IT procurement technology as the fastest growing solution it has ever brought to market.
The solution uses Probrand’s award winning aggregation technology to daily update price and availability for over 100,000 IT products from 1200 vendors. Public sector IT procurers can search for products and make a best value purchase based on the unique display of framework and private sector prices/availability.
Schools and Local Authorities are turning on to savings in excess of a day a week in procurement time and a minimum of 15% on their IT budgets.
This has helped Probrand deliver two record turnover months topping £3.6M in March. The launch of its SME excellence sub-contractor program, bringing the best of UK SMEs to the public sector, has also contributed significantly to the business.
Probrand Managing Director, Peter Robbins said: “With IT theitindex.co.uk/gov, buyers can maximise the opportunity of a best value purchase by using the power of a framework agreement or by capitalising on a private source that daily tracks price with a pre-agreed margin. This gives buyers incredible purchasing power and is matching the public sector’s insatiable appetite for making savings or buying more for the same budget.
As a result, our progressive business model is proving yet again it is the future of best practice IT procurement with a record breaking first quarter.
