Probrand signs exclusive product deal with Very PC
Bullish VAR and technology services provider, Probrand, has signed an exclusive product reselling deal with specialist green IT vendor Very PC.
The agreement means Probrand is in pole position to facilitate the green IT movement within government as part of its Catalist framework status.
Probrand has secured exclusive rights to sell an AMD powered business class computer from Very PC’s award winning portfolio. This dual core processor desktop PC is highly efficient consuming only 30W of power.
Importantly, this exceeds the government’s energy star rating system for products that use less energy, save money, and help protect the environment. Very PC has been acknowledged as offering some unique ‘green’ qualities by the OGC and numerous government departments.
And at the opening of Very PCs flagship manufacturing facility in Sheffield, Secretary Of State for the Environment, Hilary Benn MP, said: "The fight against dangerous climate change is a responsibility we all bear. The biggest threat we face is the feeling that we cannot do anything about it; it's too big, too immense, beyond the capabilities of human beings.
"Very PC is demonstrating what we can do it when we put our minds to it.
"This is a century when we have to understand that living within our means has a second meaning. We have to ask ourselves whether we are overdrawn at the carbon bank.
"As Very PC has demonstrated, we can carry on having computers, traveling and a developing economy, but doing so in a way that saves the planet."
